How to crochet around a wooden bead
– wooden bead (15mm)
– crochet thread size 10
– crochet hook size 1.00mm
Crochet knowledge needed:
– magic ring
– single crochet stitch
– invisible decrease stitch
Crochet continuously, do not join; keep count (easier) or use a piece of thread to mark the end of a round.
Rnd1: 6 sc into magic ring (6 sc)
Pull tail to close ring tight.
Rnd2: (2 sc in next st) 6 times (12 sc)
Rnd3: (sc in next 3 st, 2 sc in next st) 3 times (15 sc)
Rnd4: (sc in next 4 st, 2 sc in next st) 3 times (18 sc)
Rnd5: (sc in next 5 st, 2 sc in next st) 3 times (21 sc)
Rnd6-8: sc around (21 sc)
Rnd9: (sc in next 5 st, inv dec) 3 times (18 sc)
Insert bead. Continue to crochet around the bead.
Rnd10: (sc in next 4 st, inv dec) 3 times (15 sc)
Rnd11: (sc in next 3 st, inv dec) 3 times (12 sc)
Rnd12: inv dec around (6 sc)
Fasten off. Hide tails. Cut off ends.
